Manager – Dale Belvedere

Dale Belvedere, 2014

Soon after moving to Summerland in 2005, Dale attended her first raptor release and, from that point, has been an active supporter of SORCO. She officially started as a volunteer in 2008 helping with the rescue, rehab, and release of raptors. She serves as a handler for Houdini at public events. In 2012, she joined the SORCO site committee and was instrumental in engaging Okanagan College (Penticton Campus) in constructing the new clinic. Dale was nominated to the Board in 2013 and served as the chair for the funding and events committees and the volunteer coordinator.

Dale was appointed as the SORCO Manager on March 1, 2015. She has a strong medical and management background and has completed wildlife rehabilitation training courses. Dale is known in the community as a dedicated and hardworking individual who is committed to SORCO’s mission of conserving raptors in the Okanagan.
